Abstract

A system for monitoring and signaling users' presence in a spatial region (S), comprising a plurality of terminals ( 10, 10' ) associated to said users, said terminals ( 10, 10' ) comprising wireless transreceiving means ( 32 ) for transmitting and receiving in said spatial region (S) signals comprising at least a characteristic portion (ft, f't; PK, PK') associated to a users' characteristic piece of information (P, P'), and modules ( 31 ) configured so as to manage and store said users' characteristic information (P, P') and to transit said characteristic information (P, P') via transreceiving means ( 32 ). According to the invention, said transreceiving means ( 32 ) are configured so as to transmit at short ray (R) in broadcasting mode on said spatial region (S), and said terminals ( 10, 10' ) further comprise means ( 11, 16, 33, 35 ) for signaling the reception of said signal characteristic portion(f't; PK') transmitted at short ray (R) by a second terminal ( 10' ) belonging to said plurality of terminals ( 10, 10' ) and in said special region (S).
