Description

The operation software of each device (8) is stored in the automatic power supply R / W static RAM of each device (8), while the operation software of the server (9) is stored in the hard disk (21) and stored in the RAM of the server. Can be loaded and used. It should be noted that the testers that are specific to the modules that make up the operating system run concurrently in an environment that uses a multitasking operating system. Thus, the flowchart shows a specific task to be performed by one module, and does not indicate a branch to a module that invalidates all tasks performed by other modules. The first module referred to in the SSM is an activation module. This module provides only one service. Thus, this module is automatically loaded when the equipment or server is powered up and directly enters the "running" mode of the RMM module. The RMM module is a module in an “operating” mode, which is an operation mode in which the device or server enters when the registration number of the device or server is validated. In this mode, the device (8) or the server (9) may for example:-touch the screen of the device (8), the control of the foreground session is transferred to the CBSM module in client selection and search mode,-TSM telecom It is ready to handle requests that can be triggered by various predefined events, such as a call request for a telecommunications network by a service module. The device (8) or server (9) remains in the "running" mode until one of the above-mentioned events occurs. The CBSM module is a client selection and search mode module. Access to this module is activated from the "running" mode when the client touches the screen. The display allows the user to visualize a menu prepared for digitized voice message support powerful search for guidance in song selection. The TSM module is a telecommunications service mode module between a network server and a central system managing a plurality of servers belonging to different networks. With this module, all management services available on the distribution network can be managed. All tasks specific to telecommunications are managed as background tasks. These tasks always use only the portion of the processing time remaining when the device or server finishes all its foreground tasks. Thus, when the device is occupied by one of the higher priority tasks, the telecommunications task automatically seeks to reduce the constraints on system resources and the processing time of the still available microprocessor. Try to recover. The SPMM module allows for the management of selected songs or videos of songs or videos that are queued by the system to play in the selected order. A multi-tasking operating system is an essential element for enabling many code fragments to be executed simultaneously and managing the priority between various tasks to be started. As shown in FIG. 4, the multi-task operating system includes a kernel including a priority determining module (11) between tasks, a task supervisor module (12), a hardware grouping module (13), and a process. The communication module (14) is mainly configured. Each module communicates with the application's programming interface (15) and database (16). There are as many programming interfaces as applications. For example, the module (15) comprises a first interface (153) for programming for the touch screen (33), a second interface (154) for programming for the keyboard (34), and a second interface (154) for programming for the payment device (35). Three interfaces (155), a fourth programming interface (156) for the audio control circuit (5), a fifth programming interface (157) for the video control circuit (6), and an information processing network control circuit (7). )) (158). At the time of purchase of the network kit, the programming interface of the network card is supplied with the card, and the network card is declared to the operating system as a hard disk of each audiovisual device (8) or as a peripheral device constituting a telecommunications modem card. It is important to note that Accordingly, each operating system of each device (8), upon selection, following a call for telecommunications procedures or hard disk access, enables each audiovisual device (8) to use the called resources by the server's network card. Start a new communication session. The five tasks arranged in descending order of priority are managed by the kernel of the operating system, and the first task (76) for video input / output has the highest priority and the second task at the second level. (75) relates to voice, third level third task (74) relates to telecommunications, fourth level fourth task (73) relates to interface, and fifth level fifth task (70) relates to management. These priorities are taken into account by the priority determination module (11) according to the appearance and disappearance of tasks. Thus, when a video task appears, other running tasks are suspended, this task is given priority, and all system resources are allocated to the video task. The video task (76) on the output side aims at alternately unloading the video file from the mass memory (21) into one of two buffers (66, 67), at which time the other buffer is used. (67 or 66) is used by the video controller circuit (6) for display after data expansion. On the input side, the video task (76) aims to transfer the data received in the telecommunications buffer (46) to the mass memory (21). Between the remote communication buffer (46) on the input side and the buffer (26) of the large capacity memory (21), there are also two buffers, the buffer (26) of the large capacity memory (21) and the voice controller circuit (5) on the output side. The same applies to any of the buffers (56, 57). Next, the task supervisor module (12) will be described with reference to FIG. This module performs a first test (761) in priority order to determine whether the video task is active, ie, whether any of the video buffers (66, 67) are empty. . If the answer is no, the task supervisor module determines whether the audio task is active, ie, whether any of the audio buffers (56, 57) are empty. The next test (751) is performed. If the answer is no, a third test (741) determines whether the communication task is active, ie, whether the buffer (46) is empty. If the answer is affirmative in one of the tests, the task supervisor module (12) queues the memory access request (13) in step (131), and in step (132) the large memory ( Perform this read or write request between 21) and the buffer corresponding to the active task, then re-loop to the first test. If the communication operation test (741) is affirmative, the supervisor (12) executes a test (742) to determine whether to read or write information in the memory. If so, a write or read request is submitted to the queue in step (131). If not, the supervisor determines in step (743) whether it is a transmission or a reception, and if so, in step (744), sends the information block to the central server. If so, the supervisor verifies in step (746) that the kernel buffer has not been accessed, and if so, sends a message to the central server in step (747) to agree to receive the data block. send. After receiving the block, a cyclic redundancy check CRC type error check (748) is performed. By sending a corresponding message to the central server indicating that the block with the given number has been rejected or granted, the block is rejected in step (740) in case of error, otherwise step (740) 749), and loop back to the original test. If no higher-level tasks are active, the supervisor processes the interface or administrative task in step (731 or 701). The detection of an active or ready task is performed by each controller circuit (2, 3, 4, 5, 6) of each hardware device connected to the central processing unit (1) as shown in FIG. Each test (from 721) on the combined hard disk hardware or software buffer (26), interface buffer (36), telecommunications buffer (46), audio buffer (56 and 57), video buffer (66 and 67) 761). The test (721) determines whether data is present in the buffer of the input / output memory of the disk, and the test (731) determines whether data is present in the hardware or software memory buffer of the client interface device. , Test (741) indicates if data is present in the hardware or software memory buffer of the telecommunications device, and test (751) indicates whether data is present in the audio hardware or software memory buffer. And the test (761) shows whether data is present in the hardware or software memory buffer of the video device. If there is data in one or more of these buffers, the supervisor (12) will provide one or more hard disk status buffers (821) corresponding to the hardware in logic state indicating operation, The status buffer (831), the remote communication status buffer (841), the audio status buffer (851), and the video status buffer (861) are positioned. If there is no data, the supervisor status buffer is returned to a value indicating inactivity at step (800). The operating states of the server (9) and the device (8) are maintained in the automatic power supply memory of the device (8) on the hard disk (21) of the server (9). The system records each event to be recorded immediately on a permanent resource (ressource de stockage permanent). Therefore, even if a power failure or equipment damage occurs, the system can be restarted from the exact same position where it was stopped. The events that cause the saving of the state in the operation are: deposit (addition of credit), addition of the song name to the queue, end of the selected song (change of the song currently being listened to). The file is in a machine format that can only be read by the processing unit and is no longer than 64 bytes. The number and types of active tasks are indicated to the supervisor (12) by executing the selected music management SPMM module whose flowchart is shown in FIG. The management performed by this module begins with a test (61) to determine if the selected song is waiting in the queue. Next, if the queuing test (61) determines that the selected song is waiting, the client selects the song title to listen to, and the song is stored in the system queue file on the hard disk. Automatically written in. Therefore, even when a power failure occurs, each selected song is never lost. The system plays (plays) the entire selected song and then deletes it from the queue file. When the entire selected song has been played, the selected song is deleted from the queue file and written into the system's statistics file along with the date and time of purchase and the date and time the song was played. Immediately after transferring the completed selected song to the statistics file, the system checks whether there is another selected song in the queue file. If there is another selected song, the system immediately starts playing the selected song. Processing continues with a test (65) to determine whether the selected song includes a scenario audio. If so, this scenario is registered in the task matrix of the supervisor (12) in step (651). If not, or after this registration, processing continues with a test (66) to determine whether the selected song contains a moving image. If so, the video scenario is registered in the task matrix of the supervisor (12) in step (661). If not, or after this registration, processing continues with a test (64) to determine whether the selected song contains a still graphic. If so, the graphic display scenario is registered in the task matrix of the supervisor (12) in step (641). If not, or after this registration, processing continues with a test (63) to determine whether the selected song includes an advertising scenario. If so, the scenario is registered in the task matrix of the supervisor (12) in step (631). In this way, the supervisor (12) notified of the opened task can simultaneously manage the progress of the task. A task management mode by assigning the highest priority to the video tasks, and the presence of a hardware or software buffer assigned to each task to temporarily store data, and a status buffer for each task And the communication between each device and the server via the information processing network makes it possible to increase the costly resources required for some tasks of the device (8), and also to increase the multitasking operating system. Having a single central processing unit (9). The base server (9) can manage a LAN with up to eight client jukeboxes. By adding appropriate peripherals, such as additional hard disks, the server can manage up to eight additional jukeboxes. To add more jukeboxes, a LAN environment can be created with multiple servers sharing tasks. In this way, an environment can be created that can manage any needs. A fully-equipped server has enough resources to manage a 16-piece jukebox. One server can support up to seven disks that can store songs as long as the songs have the necessary free space. 3.4125 Mbits of free space is required for audio and partial graphic works, and 39.568 Mbits of free space for audio and video works. Beyond these limitations, sometimes to meet the demands of facilities such as hotels with hundreds of rooms, RAID to store the network configuration with many servers to manage songs and / or jukeboxes It is possible to use large-capacity storage technologies such as. It is also possible to add additional telecommunications peripherals (41), such as a modem, to meet the additional demands in telecommunications of the external network. The network allows the server to perform its responsibilities to perform multiple tasks common to each jukebox in order to prevent work, information handling operations and equipment redundancy. The LAN also serves as an important link between all jukeboxes by establishing a link that can maintain data common to all jukeboxes and making it accessible from each jukebox. Common data maintained on the server is audiovisual works, usage and purchase statistics for each jukebox, or statistics about the audiovisual works. Since the telecommunications peripheral is centralized on the server (9), the jukebox or audiovisual device (8) does not have a telecommunications peripheral, but makes a request to the server (9), and the server Process preferentially. Also, the jukebox or audiovisual device does not have the necessary disk space to store the audiovisual work. This is because all the jukeboxes on the LAN are centralized on the server (9) in order to be able to share audiovisual works. The network's jukebox (8) requires little permanent storage space, since all information is centralized, realizing units without hard disks and reducing maintenance by eliminating the most fault-prone parts And not. The permanent memory area in the jukebox (8) without hard disk contains all the information and the operating programs necessary to establish a link with the server and start the jukebox operating system. This permanent memory is an EEPROM memory, a static memory bank held by a battery, and a card called a HARD CARD which is a static memory bank held by a battery and has a function of cloning a task of a hard disk. It can be. The operating system of the jukebox (8) verifies that the necessary resources are available before proceeding. To do this, the operating system manages the link state with the centralized peripheral and, if necessary, issues a request to the server to establish an appropriate link between the jukebox and the required peripheral. If the jukebox does not utilize telecommunications resources, for example, the server (9) provides an exclusive link to the jukebox. Once the link is established, the jukebox (8) can work as if the resource were its own. When the jukebox (8) has finished its work, it sends a request to the server to break the connection to the resource, so that the resource is available to other jukeboxes (8) in the network. The order and logic used to grant distribution and access to organized resources is managed by the network operating system resident on the server (9). Therefore, the switching device such as a hardware or software key allows the network user to make the server (9) transmit the same music to all the devices (8) on the network or to send different music to each device (8). Can be determined. In the latter case, access to the hard disk resources is performed by time sharing among the devices, and the buffers (56, 57; 66, 67) of the devices (8) are not interrupted when executing audio or video. While having sufficient capacity to wait for the next access. In addition, a multitasking operating system with a library containing a set of tools and services can be very significantly easier to operate because it is built into the storage means and the flexibility obtained is so high. it can. This makes it possible to create a multimedia environment by simultaneously and simply and effectively managing the reproduction of audio, the display of images and graphics, and the moving image. Furthermore, the cost of the network is greatly reduced since the audiovisual information is digitized and stored in the storage means. Similarly, by moving the hardware necessary for the remote communication function of each device (8) to a server on the network, the cost is greatly reduced and an information processing network having a data rate of 100 Mbit / sec is used. By doing so, at least eight devices can be used simultaneously. All of these devices can simultaneously play different moving images on each device. This would not have been possible with the ISDN network of WO 94/15416, where the data rate, which is no longer sufficient for moving pictures, is of the order of 1 Mbit / s. The same can be said for other data remote transmission lines. Any modifications possible by a person skilled in the art also form part of the present invention. Thus, it should be noted that if a buffer is a concern, the buffer may be physically present on the circuit to which it is allocated, or it may be created by software by reserving storage in system memory.
